Dynamics AX Implementation Steps

Key Steps to a Streamlined Dynamics AX Implementation

  • Discovery and Functional Requirement Analysis: In the discovery phase, we identify both the executive and functional business leaders’ key business objectives. It is during this phase that we identify the initial measurements of success and detail the project plan. Our expert consulting team documents the customer’s Business Processes for the entire enterprise. .

  • Solution Development: Software is useless without expert training for your people. In the Development phase, we provide early business process workshops and train the project team. It is during this phase that the software is installed, set-up and the first preliminary data conversions are applied. The focus of Solution Development is to evaluate all process flows and perform Functional Analysis.

  • Solution Design: Design is where the software solution is honed via process flow workshops, Functional review sessions, and early documentation and development of test scenario scripts. The design phase is focused on the "to-be" processes. The data conversion plan and the programs required for transfer, clean, and update of data are completed during this phase. Design is where the team documents issues and performs a post pilot review session.

  • Solution Deployment: The Deployment phase contains all of the pilot exercises. The conference room pilots are iterative exercises designed to create effective business process that yield results. Here we resolve issues, prepare the technical projects & environment, provide end-user training and documentation, perform end-user and systems tests and prepare a final data conversion. The solution is deployed only after we have performed a final verification. "Go Live" is the result of successful verification and for most clients is a non-event.

  • Optimization: Our process is intended to achieve the targeted results. The process is designed to transfer business process and software knowledge to the client. During every phase of implementation opportunities are identified that will yield benefits to the client. Many of those opportunities will be beyond the defined scope of the initial project. Optimization is an evolutionary process for acting upon opportunities both identified and unforeseen. Our goal is to make the client self-sufficient, so they can optimize the system over time on their own.

With our proven implementation methodology, you get the experience and best practices you need, to feel confident in your project.
