Client: Telsmith manufactures a full line of engineered products designed for use in processing aggregates, recycled concrete, recycled asphalt and raw minerals mining.

Chesterton Company is one of the largest international manufacturers of industrial fluid sealing, Engineered Polymer Solutions (hydraulic/pneumatic), ARC Composite Coatings and Maintenance Products. The company works with customers to provide the solutions that help industry run more reliably, efficiently and economically.
Challenge: A.W. Chesterton has distributors/sales offices around the world as well as manufacturing facilities in North America. Having disparate systems was preventing them from growing and expanding into new markets around the world. Client: Xtek Inc., a 100 year old company located in Cincinnati, a leading manufacturer of custom machined and heat-treated parts and component assemblies for heavy-duty industrial applications, has gone live on Microsoft Dynamics AX and sees immediate business improvements.
Challenge: Xtek is in the expansion mode. They are currently a multi-site manufacturer who is expanding operations and acquiring new companies. They required business applications that they could roll out into their new acquisitions. Xtek needed to replace their Oracle Financial Applications operating on a Novell Network with GroupWise e-mail.
Solution: Utilizing Microsoft Dynamics AX with the Microsoft Technology stack, the project team, assisted by Streamline Systems industry expert consultants developed fully documented corporate defined “best business practices” focused on providing significant business improvements. Xtek has applied the optimal business processes across all Xtek sites and have identified a mode of application for new acquisitions.
Result: Xtek dramatically improved their operations in certain key areas; improving on-time deliveries, tracking costs more accurately, providing better customer service, increasing the productivity of their staff, reducing inventory, and having data at their fingertips to make better business decisions. Client: Southern Graphic Systems (SGS), founded in 1946, operates from headquarters in Louisville, KY with locations throughout North America, Europe and Asia. SGS provides innovative solutions to enhance brand identity and improve their clients "Speed-to-Market" demands. Their services include package design, prepress, imaging and management of the entire brand development and execution cycle. SGS works with many of the world's preeminent consumer product goods companies and retail merchants, as well as the manufacturers and printers that support them.

Challenge: SGS was operating outdated applications on an IBM AS/400. These applications included centralized accounting as well as centralized purchasing. SGS remote sites throughout the United States were also operating on independent order processing systems each with their own pricing systems. The goal for SGS senior management was to establish a standard reporting entity with, standardized production systems as well as standard order entry and pricing systems throughout all the sites.

Solution: Utilizing expert consulting services from Streamline Systems, SGS has implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX in a phased approach. Phase One was the implementation of corporate financial applications. SGS also succeeded in the incorporation of purchase requisitions from their remote sites to a centralized purchasing system during the first phase. The second phase had SGS implementing a standardized production across all their remote facilities as well as implementing standardized order processing with corporate wide trade agreements at these sites.

Result: SGS is now operating at optimal efficiencies throughout the North American operations utilizing best business practices on Microsoft Dynamics AX. They have standard processes, enabling them to support all their clients in an optimum fashion. With the help from Streamline Systems, SGS is now rolling out Dynamics AX globally.

In both engineering and production, they maintain state-of-the-art capabilities to ensure continued leadership and the ability to deliver on the increasingly complex and intelligent capabilities required for defense and aerospace applications.

Challenge: Herley has production facilities throughout the world; most of these sites were companies that they acquired. Each site was operating on their own ERP system. The goal for senior management was to establish an integrated system consistent throughout the company; utilizing standard business operations at all sites.

Solution: Herley utilized the expert business consulting services of Streamline Systems to establish best business practices at their headquarter location in Lancaster, PA. Taking these optimal processes, Herley and Streamline Systems then configured Microsoft Dynamics AX to support these optimal business processes.

Result: Herley is now working with Streamline Systems on developing plans to roll-out Dynamics AX to their other US operating units. The plan is to roll out standardized processes that were developed at their headquarter location to these remote plants.

Client: The Greenbrier Companies [NYSE:GBX], headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, USA, is an international leading supplier of transportation equipment and services to the railroad industry. The Company builds, leases, repairs and refurbishes freight railcars for a variety of customers in North America. It also manufactures and refurbishes freight wagons in the European market. The Company also is a leading supplier of ocean-going barges for the American maritime industry.


Challenge: Greenbrier had four manufacturing facilities throughout the US and Mexico. Each facility was operating with their own ERP business system. It was extremely difficult for them to improve their business operations with each site acting autonomously.  As well, it was extremely difficult to operate centralized financials and procurement with each site on different systems.

Solution: Greenbrier acquired Microsoft Dynamics AX to standard their production sites on a single business system. Utilizing the industry expertise from Streamline Systems, they were able to implement centralized financial accounting and centralized procurement. And together, we are establishing standardized best business practices for their production sites which will be rolled out to all their sites in 2010.

Result: At this time, with the project still on-going, Greenbrier has implemented Dynamics AX for centralized finance & procurement. Together, with streamline Systems assistance, they will have the most efficient operations at their manufacturing sites.

Client: TSS Technologies is a contract manufacturer, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. TSS Technologies’ wide range of equipment allows them to machine large complex parts with critical tolerances. Their 5 axis machines allow them machining of highly complex shapes. These cutting edge machines and their experienced staff allow TSS to deliver on time with excellent quality.

Challenge: As a contract manufacturer, the TSS business model required that they be much more efficient at building their parts and products than their customers can. With their old ERP system, they were not able to operate optimally. Thus, they were challenged to provide their products at the pricing required by their customers.
